I have a husky 1550 when you plug it in, it comes on but when you mash the trigger water trickles out like it does when it's off.

Question:

Husky HU1550CA.

I acquired this unit at a garage sale. This is not a complaint but after downloading the manual, I decided to have some fun.

It didn't work properly when first hooked and I decided to disassemble it as there was water leakage from beneath. I incorrectly took the pump apart so most of the oil leaked out of the it. I added another type of lubricant that seemed similar in viscosity (75-140 synthetic rear axle lube) but may have overfilled it. After reassembly, pump now surges while operating at high pressure.

Can you please tell me if surging is an issue, the type of lubricant needed and amount to use for a proper fill. Thanks, KBB
